BABEL's Jakob Rehlinger is a Toronto via Etobicoke out-rocker who's been quickly crawling his Arachnidiscs for fifteen years. BABEL, like Rehlinger's group Moonwood, has a prolific output that began in post-rocky and ambient hi-fi places whereas recent explorations have traversed into free-form psychedelic trances, and krautrock's rhythmic dunes and deserts. Octal's eight tracks are naturally (iyd108) with its thematic obsession over the numeral 8 and its rolling mobius strip qualities.
